This is the biggest student party in all of Europe, which lasts for eight days, as many as the University of Coimbra's colleges.

The "Queima das Fitas" is intended to mark the last time of students finalists of Coimbra University. The week's starts with the "Serenata Monumental", on the stairs of the Old Cathedral, the program still integrating the "Baile de Gala"of the Faculties, the "Garraiada", the Sale of "Pasta", a "burning" of the germ (which gave the name the party) and the "Cortejo Quartanistas" and attended the Park Nights.
